Christine Marie (Petracca) Emmons, age 68 of Seaford, DE, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was born on December 17, 1951 in Coral Gables, FL, daughter of the late Louis and Loretta (Zepp) Petracca. Chris had a long career in fashion merchandising working in the garment district of New York City. She was an accessories buyer for a department store chain, an executive at Marvella Pearls, a VP of Accessories at Liz Claiborne, and an advisor to a private designer/manufacturer of hand bags. As a long time resident of Ocean, NJ, Chris loved the ocean and the bay where she would frequently walk, crab, and collect seashells. She loved to travel to Europe, Italy in particular. Chris had an infectious laugh and joie de vivre. She had an extraordinary love and loyalty to her husband Bob and the Petracca Family. Family mattered most to her, and that is her legacy. Chris is survived by her husband of 26 years, Robert Emmons; her brothers: Richard (Linda), Dean (Kelly), and Joe (Debra); her sister, Kim (Nick); her nieces and nephews: Karley, Mitchell, Laura, Michael, Maddi, Lauren, Aleksander, and Joe. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM, at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, 609 East King Street, Seaford, DE, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM.
