Sylvia Jean Maloney, age 66, of Harrington, DE, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 18, 2018. She was born in Dover, DE, on Tuesday, November 13, 1951, daughter of Henrietta Maloney and of the late Omar Thompson. Sylvia worked as a registered nurse for most of her life. She enjoyed reading and collecting light houses and was a known animal lover. Sylvia was a kind and loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her mother, Sylvia is survived by her children: Hugh P. Moore, Jr. of Laurel, DE, Rebecca Lynn Moore of North Beach, MD, Amy Jeanette Moore of Mobile, AL, Zachary Allan Moore of Clarksville, AR, Rachel Gillum of LA and Emily Moore of LA; her siblings: Joyce Oliver of Milford, DE, Ethel Anderson of Odessa, DE, Donna Hurd of OH, Brenda Clendaniel of OH and David Thompson, LA; her eight grandchildren; and her five great grandchildren.
