Alberta O. Arce's Obituary
Alberta O. Arce, age 86, of Seaford, DE passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Lofland Park Center, in Seaford, DE. She was born on July 27, 1935 in Spickard, MO, daughter of the late Albert and Janettie Wilson.
Mrs. Arce graduated from Spickard High School, class of 1952. She married the love of her life, Joseph L. Arce in 1954 and they shared 38 wonderful years together. Once they relocated to Seaford, Mrs. Arce worked as a nursing assistant at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital for over 35 years. She was a lifetime member of the Blades Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary where she was a past president. She was also a lifetime member of the VFW Virgil Wilson Post 4961 Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mrs. Arce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Arce was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Joseph L. Arce; her son, Ronald Arce of Des Moines, IA; her brother Bill Wilson of Trenton, MO; her granddaughter, Haley Arce of Foley, AL; and her companion, Steve Dewey of Seaford, DE. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Hastings (Bart) of Seaford, DE; her son, Joe Arce (Patty) of Norfolk, VA; her grandchildren: Reagan Hastings Bow (Kolby) of Buda, TX, Ben Hastings (Megan) of Seaford, DE, Lucas Hastings (Dean Snell) of Seaford, DE, and Jessica Arce of Las Vegas, NV; her great grandchildren: Maria Farren, Ali Farren, Logan Hastings, Macie Hastings, Macartney Bow, Easton Bow, and Adlee Bow; her sisters: Donna Collins (Garvin) of Kansas City, MO and Cleah Stratton of Trenton, MO; her nieces: Leasa Collins, Tammy Collins-Seeley, and Kathy Stratton; and her nephews: Stanley Stratton, Stephen Stratton, Stuart Stratton, Jeremy Wilson, and Jason Wilson.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Bethel United Methodist Church Community Hall in Oak Grove, DE.
