Anthony Renaldo Munoz Sr.'s Obituary
Anthony Renaldo Munoz Sr., 80yrs old, of Seaford, DE, formerly from Midland, PA and
Calcutta, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
Born on May 21, 1943, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Sophia (Trevino) Munoz.
Anthony served proudly in the United States Army Infantry Division 2nd Med in Korea. He
was a fireman for 25 years combined, retired lieutenant from Midland and volunteered in Calcutta. Before retiring he was a security guard at the East Liverpool City Hospital and
Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford. He also worked at Crucible Steel, J & L Steel, Whemco, and
Penn Power.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas N.
Quintana Sr, Leo J. Quintana, Nicholas Munoz and Rudy Munoz, his sisters Margaret
Quintana, Isabelle Justice, and Rose Smith.
Surviving him is his spouse of 58 years, Betty L Munoz, Seaford; daughter, Christina (Phil) Chester, Seaford; son, Anthony (Jeannie) R. Munoz Jr., Seaford; his beloved grandchildren: Shiloh Chester, Athena Sammons, Ayden, and Asher Munoz; two sisters,
Tina (Will) Wical Lewes, Mona (Doug) Shrieves, Seaford, along with numerous nieces and
nephews.
Papa, as he was affectionately known by his grandchildren, loved to spend time with his
family. They were his top priority. He enjoyed helping his son do yard work and was always ready to organize anything he could get his hands on. He enjoyed going to the beach,
getting Thrasher’s Fries, sitting on the bench and “people watching” as he would call it. He
supported his grandchildren in everything they did, cheering them on at numerous sporting events, riding to distant doctor’s appointments and giving them advice on life. He is going to be missed by those he left behind but will live on in every one of his family members. Anybody
who met Tony will be forever touched by his kind smile and funny stories.
