Cecil Hampton Parker's Obituary
Cecil Hampton Parker, 98, of Seaford, Delaware, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 15, 2026, at Greenwood Country Rest Home. Born on August 31, 1927, in Casar, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Andy and Mary Parker.
Cecil graduated from high school and was drafted into the United States Army during World War II. Following his military service, he built a career as a television repairman with Laurel TV & Appliance Company in Laurel, Delaware, where he was known for his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic.
Cecil enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and especially loved fishing, hunting, and gardening. He found great satisfaction in spending time outdoors and took pride in sharing his knowledge and experiences with family and friends. Above all, he cherished time spent with his loved ones.
Cecil is survived by his children, David (Cynde) Parker of Seaford, Delaware, Beth Todd, and Mary (Terry) Grigg of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina; grandchildren Cindy Camiolo of Milford, Delaware, Jennifer (Michael) Mills of East New Market, Maryland, Nicole (Damon) Gore of Cambridge, Maryland, Ashleigh (Andrew) Hoeprich of Columbia, South Carolina, Patrick (Kristen) Parker of Seaford, Delaware, Rachel (David) Jenneman of Grawn, Michigan, and Josh Marsh of Traverse City, Michigan; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by his daughter, Irene Hitchens; his son, Gerald “Jerry” Parker; and his grandson, Alex Parker.
Cecil will be remembered for his quiet strength, dependability, kindness, and devotion to his family. His life was a testament to hard work, perseverance, and the enduring value of family. Cecil's memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.
A private graveside service for immediate family will be held in Casar, North Carolina.
