Clarence Edward Wilson's Obituary
Clarence Edward Wilson, age 92, of Seaford, DE, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Georgetown, DE, on Monday, May 14, 1923 son of the late David A. and Carrie (Mathews) Wilson.
Mr. Wilson honorably served in the U.S. Army in WW II. After his time in the service he started a lifelong career as a Millwright and later as the Business Agent for the Carpenters & Millwrights Union. He was a proud member of the Seaford Moose Lodge for over 50 years and he was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Mr. Wilson loved cars, especially red ones, and took pleasure in fixing and tinkering with them, then would resell them. He was a lifelong fan of blue grass and country music and enjoyed spending his winters in Florida. Mr. Wilson was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother and will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by two of his brothers and his three sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Mary Isabella Wilson, of Seaford, DE; his three daughters: Rebecca Quillen and her husband, Ronald, of Seaford, DE, Barbara Norton and her husband, Lilburn, of Seaford, DE and Betty Allen and her husband, Craig, of Midlothian, VA; three grandchildren: Kyle Quillen, Valerie Quillen and her husband, Richard Munsey and Brad Allen and his wife, Sandra; three great grandchildren: Willow Quillen, Galen Quillen, and Sophia Allen; and his three brothers: Elmer Wilson and his wife, Marlene, of Camden, DE, Tommy Wilson and his wife, Darlene, of Seaford, DE and David Wilson of Ambler, PA.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at 11:00 AM, at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front & Kings Streets, Seaford, DE, 19973, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow the Services at Odd Fellows Cemetery Seaford, 513 3rd Street, Seaford, DE.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Wilson's name to the Seaford Moose Lodge, 22759 Bridgeville Hwy, Seaford, DE 19973.
