Donald A. Spicer's Obituary
Donald A. Spicer, age 55 of Seaford, DE, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at his home. He was born on April 18, 1962 in Seaford, son of Patsy (Massey) and the late Donald Spicer.
Mr. Spicer made a career in the construction field and for many years owned and operated Spicer Home Improvement. He was an active hunter and fisherman, enjoying all the outdoors had to offer, and was an avid New England Patriots football fan. Mr. Spicer was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Seaford, DE. More than anything, however, he treasured time spent with his beloved family and friends. He was a loving and devoted son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, companion, and friend. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Spicer was preceded in death by his nephew, Gary Scott Spicer, Jr. In addition to his mother, Patsy Spicer, he is survived by his son, Donald A. Spicer, Jr of Seaford, DE; his companion, Barbara Webb of Seaford, DE; his grandson, Gavin Spicer of Sharptown, MD; his brothers: Mark Spicer (Marlene), Barry Spicer, and Gary Spicer, all of Laurel, DE; his sister, Kathy Hawkins of Laurel, DE; his many nieces and nephews; and his loyal, canine pride and joy, Mandy.
A Memorial Service officiated by Rev. Roland Tice will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the Moose Lodge: 22759 Bridgeville Highway; Seaford, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Mr. Spicer's memory to Loyal Order of Moose Lodge: 22759 Bridgeville Highway; Seaford, DE 19973.
