Durward "Bud" W. Taylor's Obituary
Durward W. "Bud" Taylor age 66, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Friday January 5, 2024, surrounded by his family. Durward was born in Trenton, New Jersey, son of the late Durward Fulton Taylor and Mary Lou Hess (Pfleger), he moved to Bridgeville in 1989.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Heather Schauer Taylor; his children Bud Jr. (Nancy Brunicardi), Linda Taylor (David Baker), his stepson Joey Tindall; his sisters-Debra Aiken (Ric) and Angel Taylor; his brothers-Kennard Taylor and Russ Taylor (Angela); his granddaughter Jessica Taylor, four great-grandchildren, seven nephews, two nieces; and extended family and friends.
Bud was a cobbler by trade starting when he was in high school and continuing as owner of Cobblers Corner in Georgetown, Delaware. After closing the business in 1995, he became manager of Owens Station Hunting Preserve training hunting dogs and assisting with the shooting range. He was also employed at Penco-Seaford & Camden locations; Lowes, Millsboro before retiring. Bud could not stay idle and became a bus driver for Dutton Bus Service until this past July.
His many hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening, raising chickens, reading, antiquing, collecting toys and model trains, and most recently binge-watching action and historical TV series.
His family and friends will remember his wry sense of humor, his resilience, kindness to all, and his willingness to help those in need.
