Elizabeth Ann Himes' Obituary
Our family is grieving the loss of Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Himes who slipped peacefully away to be with the Lord on Friday, October 28, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 21, 1932, daughter of the late Lynk and Eunice Fleetwood.
Libby was a member of the Laurel Church of Christ. She was a former member of the Acorn Club of Seaford, Seaford Alumni class of 1950, Delaware Federation of Professional Women’s Club, Inc. for 40 years, Nanticoke Senior Center, and Nanticoke Health Services Auxiliary. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and a great friend to many.
Libby is survived by her husband of 62 years, William J. Himes, Jr; her daughters: Bobby Ann Fox (Dave) and Bonnie Griffith (Mike); her grandsons: Tony Jewell (Melissa), Ty Mills, Matt Mills (Deena), Alex Jewell, and Justin Jewell (Alex) all of Seaford; her great grandchildren: Trey Jewell (Kaitlyn) of Seaford, Anthony Jefferson and Michael Jewell of Bridgeville, and Alaina Mills, Jalynn Jewell, Alivia Mills, Addison Mills, Alyse Mills, and Jaxon Jewell, all of Seaford; her great-great grandson, Tucker Jewell of Seaford; and her nephew, Jack Barry (Elinor) of Seaford.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to Vitas Hospice and her private caregivers: Marty, Felicia, Ashley, Kim, and Dee.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a Parsell Family Funeral Home, 609 East King Street, Seaford, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow the services at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Seaford.
