Emilia Agnes Behr's Obituary
Emilia Agnes (Scigliano) Behr, age 87, of Seaford, DE, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at her home. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on April 4, 1932, daughter of the late Ernesto and Carmela (Ventimiglia) Scigliano.
Mrs. Behr built a career in administrative work, culminating in retirement as a stat analyst for American Express after many dedicated years. She was a supportive military wife to TSgt Alan Anthony Behr, USAF Retired, with whom she shared 40 wonderful years of marriage. Mrs. Behr was involved with many of the activities at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Bridgeville, DE, including the free lunch program, clothing locker, and prayer list, among others. Above all, Mrs. Behr was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Behr is survived by her beloved husband, Alan Anthony Behr, of Seaford, DE; her sons: Michael Janow (Shelly) of Santa Clarita, CA and Gregory Behr (Anna) of Hartford, CT; her daughters: Rev. Maria Hammons (Danny) of New London, CT, Theresa Magill (Larry) of Windsor Mill, MD, Leslie Behr of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Jacqueline Behr Crews (Mark) of Gainesville, FL; her grandchildren: Madison, James, Lauren, Brandy, Justin (Candace), Anthony, Christina (Gwendolyn), and Matthew; her great-grandchildren: Daxton and Mia; and her sisters: Maria Vitrano of Great Barrington, MA and Gloria Burke of TX and MI.
The family of Mrs. Behr would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for continued prayers during this difficult time.
All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a member of the Parsell Funeral Family.
