George Emerson Keim's Obituary
George Emerson Keim, age 57 of Seaford, DE, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Staytonville, DE, on Saturday, May 21, 1960, son of the late Emerson and Ann Keim.
Mr. Keim was a graduate of Seaford High School. From 2012 until his passing, he was employed by AP Croll. Mr. Keim was a member and prior commander of the Sons of the American Legion. He was also a member of the American Legion Riders and a past member of the Seaford Loyal Order of Moose Lodge. Mr. Keim enjoyed volunteering for the Ride for Autism, and being in charge of the chicken barbeque at the Legion. He loved riding his motorcycle at every opportunity afforded. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his treasured family and his grandchildren, who were the apples of his eye. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son-in-law, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Keim is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Rebecca Keim; his three children: Jason Keim of Glen Bernie, MD, Cassi Bradley and her husband Nick of Laurel, DE, and Sean Langley and his wife Debbie of Fredericksburg, VA; his six grandchildren; his sister, Diane Harris and her husband Roger of Seaford, DE; his five brothers: Charles Keim and his wife Paula of Salisbury, MD, James Keim of Seaford, DE, Robert Keim of Seaford, DE, and John Keim of Florida; and his favorite mother and father-in-law, Dee and Gilbert Hare.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 08, 2017, at 11:00 AM, at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a division of the Parsell Funeral Family, 609 East King Street, Seaford, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mr. Keim's memory to The Ride for Autism, 16609 Sand Hill Road; Bridgeville, DE 19933, or American Legion Post 6, 230 North Front Street; Seaford, DE 19973.
