Geraldine P. Thomas "Gerry"'s Obituary
Geraldine “Gerry” Thomas, age 84 of Seaford, DE passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at her home. She was born on July 13, 1937, in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late Donoho and Melba (Phillips) Robinson.
Gerry graduated from Seaford High School, and soon after, with her mother, established Robinson Real Estate in Seaford. Following the death of her mother, she continued to operate the business as owner and broker for 57 years. Gerry was a loving, thoughtful, and generous person. Her family and friends will always treasure the kind notes and gifts she loved to give. Gerry and her husband enjoyed hosting many family dinners and their annual neighborhood Easter-egg hunts, all of which are remembered fondly. Her presence will be missed by her family, friends, and all who have known her.
In addition to her parents, Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Thomas; and her stepbrother, Waller Robinson. She is survived by her loving son, Robin Beard; her sisters-in-law: Starrie Thomas, Judy Thomas, Sandra Weber (Chris), Teresa Nero, and Helen Robinson; her cherished friend and colleague, Marla McTeer (Jim); and her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a Parsell Family Funeral Home, 609 East King Street, Seaford, DE, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow the services at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 26223 Seaford Rd., Seaford, DE 19973.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, masks are required, and social distancing must be observed by all persons attending or participating in any aspect of the services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 202 North Street, Seaford, Delaware 19973.
