James Daniel Holtzinger's Obituary
James Daniel "Jim" Holtzinger, age 73, resident of 101 Passwaters Lane, Bridgeville, DE, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 1, 2022. He was born on June 25, 1949, in Dayton, OH, son of Alice and the late Joseph Holtzinger. Jim spent his childhood in Ridgewood, NJ and North Kingstown, RI, graduating from North Kingstown High School in 1967.
He went on to earn his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island in 1973. On April 3, 1971, Jim married the love of his life, Linda in North Kingstown, RI. Dad was most proud of the work that he did as a process engineer for St. Gobain Performance Plastics in Hoosick Falls, NY for the 15 years before his retirement in 2021.
Jim is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Holtzinger, of Bridgeville, DE; his daughter, Jennifer Yazwinski, (Mike); his son , Adam (Susan Spiranovich) of Brooklyn, NY; his grandchildren: Brady and Ella of Topsham, ME; his mother, Alice Holtzinger, of Waynesboro, PA; his brother, Joseph Holtzinger (Susan Hood ) of Brooklyn, NY; and his sister, Rebecca Willis (Tom) of North Carolina. Dad was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Loved by many, he will be deeply and genuinely missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
A private service was held for immediate family in Delaware.
