Jim and I shared an interest in working with our hands and being outdoors. Those interests came together for a time when Jim purchased 10 acres and a cabin shell in West Virginia. Alone or with one or another of our children, I accompanied Jim to the cabin many times to install a wood stove, wiring, cut and haul firewood, etc. One special memory is of an early spring hike we took from his cabin to a mountain top lake. We took a thermos of hot water and a soup mix as well as sandwiches. After a couple of hours of finding our way, lunch never tasted better than sitting by the lake enjoying the view. May he enjoy fresh air, good views, and new Sears tools in eternity.
