Janis E Robinson, 79 of Seaford Delaware went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 15, 2016. She was born on January 27, 1937 in Federalsburg, Maryland, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Sidney M. Cox. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Cox.
She attended Federalsburg High School where she graduated in 1955 and upon graduation she attended Goldey Beacom where she graduated in 1957 with a Business Degree.
In January 1959 she married Donald L. Robinson and was a stay at home mom with 2 children Alan L. and Teresa L. She was a school bus driver for Seaford School District for 27 years and as well as a seamstress for the surrounding areas.
She was a member of Gethsemane United Methodist Church since 1968 where she was active in the Womens Society, as a Sunday school teacher and had held various positions at the church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star in Seaford.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years Donald L. Robinson of Seaford, Delaware. A son Alan L. and Julie of Lake Jackson, Texas. A daughter, Teresa L. O’Bier and Gray of Seaford, Delaware. 5 Grandsons Dustin E. O’Bier and Megan, Michael G. O’Bier and Casey, Aaron D. Robinson, Ryan C. Shockley & Travis P. Shockley; two great grandchildren Hayden N. O’Bier & Braxton E. O’Bier and a sister Deana Banning of Seaford, Delaware.
Funeral services will be held on Friday August 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 2701 Woodland Ferry Road, Seaford, DE. where viewing will be held beginning at noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Gethsemane United Methodist.
