Joyce Ann Kelley's Obituary
Joyce Ann Kelley, age 76 of Laurel, DE, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. She was born on December 7, 1946, in Lewes, DE, daughter of the late Merrill and Mary Bunting.
Joyce attended Lewes area schools and earned an Associate’s degree. She enjoyed a career at the Stockley Center in Georgetown as an educator and aid for those with special needs. Joyce had many hobbies, including being outdoors tending to her beautiful flowers. She was a talented cook and baker, a fact to which anyone who was lucky enough to have shared a seat at her table could attest. Joyce absolutely loved shopping for her grandchildren and doting on them in any and every way she could. She treasured time spent with her loved ones above all. Joyce was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Loved by many, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francis Kelley; and her brothers: Johnnie Bunting, Larry Bunting, and Allen Bunting. She is survived by her son, Robert Mitchell (Vickie) of Laurel, DE; her grandchildren: Dustin Mitchell of AZ and Shannon Moore of Laurel, DE; her great-grandchildren: Jade Mitchell, Aubrey Mitchell, Joey Moore, Brandon Moore, and Luke Moore; and her step-grandchildren: Stevie Donovan II, Shyla Wingo, and Deegan Donovan.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Seaford Wesleyan Church “The Ark”, 26630 Sussex Highway, Seaford, DE, where a viewing will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at Carey’s Camp Cemetery, Conaway Road, Millsboro, DE.
