Leona Rae Langley's Obituary
Leona Rae Taylor Langley, age 87, of Seaford, DE, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones, on Friday, March 6, 2020. She was the daughter of the late George Handy Taylor and Hattie Elizabeth Bailey Taylor.
Ms. Langley made her career as a homemaker and a mother which she excelled at. She was a true Sussex County girl who enjoyed fishing, clamming and crabbing in her spare time. She also loved watching Jimmy Swaggart and Homicide Hunter with Joe Kenda. Ms. Langley was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Langley is preceded in death by three sisters, seven brothers, and one grandchild. She is survived by her children: Peggy Brown (Ron), Pat T. Langley, Robert Langley (Debbie), Starr Conaway (Bob); her bonus son, Stan Towers (Dawn); her 11 grandchildren; her 31 great grandchildren; her four great great grandchildren; her sister, Iva Mae Everton; and her many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at the Watson-Yates Funeral Home & Crematorium, A Member of the Parsell Funeral Family, 609 East King Street, Seaford, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ms. Langley's name to VITAS Hospice, 30265 Commerce Dr., Suite 202, Millsboro, DE 19966.
