Lisa Lynn Nobles, age 59, of Seaford, DE, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2024. She was born on August 1, 1965, in Lewes, DE, the daughter of the late Norman and Ruth (Evans) Short.
Lisa worked as a cashier in retail, where she was known for her kindness, helpfulness, and dedication to her customers. Outside of her work, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Lisa loved spending time at the beach, where she found peace and serenity. She was also an avid reader, always seeking to learn more and immerse herself in stories. Her compassion extended to animals, and she was known for her willingness to help care for them whenever she could.
Lisa will be deeply and genuinely missed by all who knew her. Her warm spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for her family will leave a lasting imprint on those fortunate enough to have had her in their lives. Her family, in particular, will forever carry her memory, cherishing the time they had with her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jessica Maloney and Danielle Thornton (partner Wilfredo Soler III); her beloved grandchildren, Chloe, Clark, and Conway Maloney, and Lillian and Dorothy Soler; as well as numerous other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A private scattering of Lisa’s ashes will take place, as per her wishes. No public service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Lisa’s memory to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 22918 Dupont Blvd., Georgetown, DE 19947, an organization that was close to her heart.
