Phyllis Jean Meredith Wilson's Obituary
Phyllis Jean Meredith Wilson, passed away on April 11, 2021. She was 80 years old. She was born on March 20, 1941 in Harrington, Delaware.
She spent her whole life living in Delaware. She worked as an aide at The Methodist Manor House in Seaford, devoting her life to helping others. She also worked as a volunteer baking cookies and preparing the annual Easter Eggs at both Christ Lutheran Church in Seaford and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston, MD. She also baked an innumerable number of cookies for Vacation Bible School at both churches.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Alton Wilson, and a number of nieces, nephews as well as grand-nieces and nephews. She devoted time and opened her home and heart to many of them, nurturing them.
She is predeceased by her parents, Mildred and Leland Meredith, sisters: Joyce Elliott and Doris Jefferson; brother, Kenneth Meredith; nephew, Scott Elliott; niece Mary Houston; and stepson, Anthony Wilson.
Visitation will take place on April 24, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and a service will commence at 2:00 PM at Christ Lutheran Church in Seaford. Covid-19 protocols will be followed. Be sure to wear a mask. You will need to take your temperature before entering the Sanctuary, and social distancing will be observed in seating.
