Robert L. Parker's Obituary
Robert "Bob" L. Parker, age 77 of Seaford, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday February 11, 2019, at his home. He was born in Frankford, DE on July 25, 1941, son of late Reese W. and Pauline G. Parker.
Bob graduated from Seaford High School in 1959 where he played football, basketball and track and field. After graduation, Bob served in the US Navy, then worked at DuPont before entering a long career in the Poultry Industry as a Broiler Supervisor until retirement. After retiring he transferred cars for Frederick Ford in Seaford. Bob was a member of the Gethsemane Masonic Lodge #28 in Reliance. He enjoyed attending athletic events for his grandchildren, watching football, baseball, and NASCAR, as well as fishing, golf, horseshoes and Clint Eastwood movies. Above all, Bob cherished time spent with his beloved family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Constance (Connie) B. Parker of Seaford, DE; his son, Robert Jr. (Maureen) of Newark, DE; his daughter, Terry Gundry (Tony) of Seaford, DE; his five grandchildren: Jessica, Jeffrey, Colin, Emily, and Thomas; and his brother Richard (Cathy) of Laurel, DE.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 3:00 PM, at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, 609 East King Street, Seaford, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will be held at a later date.
