Robert Allen Pusey Sr.'s Obituary
Robert Allen Pusey Sr., known as Pop, passed away peacefully in Seaford, Delaware, on January 29, 2026, at the age of 80. He was born in Lewes, Delaware, on November 15, 1945, to the late Charlotte and Paul Pusey.
Pop is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Rosemary Pusey, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories. He was a beloved brother to Dana Pusey, a caring father to his daughter Rose Twigg (affectionately known as Sissy) and son Allen Pusey, and a grandfather who adored and doted on his many grandchildren: Ashley (Derrick), Jessica, Amanda (Whitney), Brittany (Keith), Katelynn (Troy), Tiffany, and bonus grandson Justin. The twinkle in his eye shone brightest when surrounded by his great-grandchildren Riley, Juli’n, Jordan, Diamond, Aaliyah, Maddison, Marina, Kayleigh, Mackenzie, Dakota, Marinda, JayKub, Amir, Shakyra, Lliahm, Nova, and Nevaeh. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law Earl (Cheryl), sister-in-law Florence, and niece Rachel (Rogelio). Preceding him in death along with his parents were his granddaughter Alexis Conaway, grandson Shamba Carter, and son David Twigg.
Pop worked for over 30 years at Penco as a truck driver, forming many lasting friendships during his career. He enjoyed fishing, rabbit and deer hunting, NASCAR, wrestling, and birdwatching. Above all, he valued time spent with his family.
Pop shared an especially deep bond with his dog Diesel, who was his loyal companion and closest friend. Diesel has been noticeably saddened since Pop’s passing, often sitting in Pop’s favorite recliner, reflecting the extraordinary connection they shared.
He will be remembered for his kindness, friendliness, and the immense love he had for his family, friends, and Diesel.
