Roland Vernon Fleetwood's Obituary
Roland Vernon Fleetwood, 91, of Laurel, Delaware, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025. He was born in Laurel on January 10, 1934, the son of the late Earl and Blanche Fleetwood.
Roland was the longtime owner and operator of the family farm, Fleetwood Century Farms. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his land and community.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Jean Fleetwood; his children, Sharon Tyndall and Todd Fleetwood; and his great-grandchildren, Amy Blewitt, RT Fleetwood, Stephanie Barrall, Katie Fleetwood, and Jessica Wenger. He is also survived by his great-great-grandchildren, Kory Halbig, Ella Evans, Leah Layfield, Lenna Wenger, and Lincoln Wenger; and his great-great-great-grandchildren, Roman Parks, Sebastian Halbig, Slade Bradley, Hazel Bradley, and Moxi Bradley.
In addition to his parents, Roland was preceded in death by his son, Randall Fleetwood, and his grandsons, Paul and Thomas Fleetwood.
Roland will be remembered by his family and those who knew him for his steady presence, his commitment to his work, and the values he passed down through the generations.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, 609 East King Street, Seaford, DE 19973.A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location. Interment will follow at Blades Cemetery, 1000 Market Street, Blades, DE
