Rose Marie Cook's Obituary
Rose Marie Cook, age 81 of Seaford, DE, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Loftland Park Center in Seaford. She was born on August 14, 1937 in Annapolis, MD, daughter of the late Walter F. and Rose (Foble) Yoor.
Mrs. Cook enjoyed a career with the Laurel School District as an administrative secretary. She had many different hobbies, including crafting and antiquing, and she enjoyed many trips to Williamsburg, VA and Lancaster, PA with her family. Above all, Mrs. Cook cherished time with those she held most dear. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her infant brother, Walter Yoor; and her sisters: Betty Keyes and Veronica Richardson. She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Harold F. Cook of Seaford, DE; her son, Harold W. Cook (Rhonda) of Bridgeville, DE; her sister, Cathy Tyler (Jim) of Cambridge, MD; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a Member of the Parsell Funeral Family, 609 East King Street, Seaford, DE. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mrs. Cook's memory to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
