Steve Alan Merrick's Obituary
Steve Alan Merrick, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, in Seaford, Delaware. Born on January 3, 1951, in Omaha, Nebraska, to the late John and Joan (Goettsche) Merrick, Steve's jovial and creative spirit brought joy to all who knew him.
After honorably serving in the Army from 1969 to 1972, Steve dedicated 46 years of his life to the love and laughter of his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Patsy Merrick; his son William C. Moore and wife Cindy; his adored grandchildren Cheyann and Declan; and two cherished great-grandchildren, Riki and Jaxxon.
Steve, a skillful HVAC installer by trade, was also renowned for his excellent woodworking, crafting treasures that will be held dear for generations. His involvement with the local Moose Lodge 1728 reflected his love for community. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he enriched with his generosity, warmth, and unwavering spirit.
