Violet Mae Cox, a beacon of kindness and love, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2024, in Millsboro, Delaware, at the age of 83. Born on September 22, 1940, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to Ralph and Bertha Garver, Violet's gentle spirit and warm heart touched the lives of all who knew her.
Violet spent her formative years in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania, a setting that instilled in her a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. She carried this appreciation with her through the years, finding happiness in the laughter of her children and the company of her beloved family members.
In her passing, Violet leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted children: son Tim Boyer (Joni) of Ephrata, PA; daughters Nicole Brighton (Dave) of New Holland, PA, and Michelle Andell of Millsboro, DE; stepdaughter Deanna Zynn of Gap, PA; and her caring brother, Ralph Garver of Paradise, PA. Violet's joy was multiplied by her adoring grandchildren, Brandon Boyer, Seth Brighton, Jessica Brighton, and Brianna Andell, as well as many other relatives across Pennsylvania and Delaware who will continue to honor her memory.
Violet was predeceased by her loving parents, Ralph and Bertha Garver; her sister, Beulah McFalls; and her cherished husband, Richard L. Cox. Together, they shared a life full of happiness and mutual devotion.
Throughout her life, Violet was the epitome of kindness, loving all those around her with a gentle and generous heart. Her friends and family will remember her as a woman who always had a kind word to say and a smile to share. Her presence was a comfort, and her absence will be felt deeply by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
As we bid farewell to Violet, we take solace in the knowledge that her legacy is one of unwavering love and kindness—a light that will never dim in the lives of her loved ones.
