William Russell Stover's Obituary
William Russell Stover "Bill", age 83 of Seaford, DE and formerly of Sparks, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 22, 2021. He was born on August 16, 1938, in Cockeysville, MD, son of the late Clyde and Helen (Skipper) Stover.
A proud veteran, Bill honorably served in the US Army as a military policeman during the Vietnam War. He also built a career in law enforcement as a civilian. Bill was a dedicated fan to the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens and enjoyed NASCAR races, as well. He was an avid fisherman, loved to golf, and was a classic car enthusiast. Above all, Bill cherished time spent with those he held most dear. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Dreama Stover of Seaford, DE; his children: Bruce Stover (Jody) of Bel Air, MD and Jennifer Stover of Atlanta, GA; his step-children: Dawn Long (Randy) of Bridgeville, DE, Denise Esteppe of Seaford, DE, David Esteppe of Bel Air, MD, and Darrell Esteppe (Michelle) of Harleyville, SC; his grandchildren: Olivia Benecke, Amelia Benecke, Robert Stover, Alisha Baull, Savannah Long, Sarafina Glorioso, Brittany Esteppe, Kayla Esteppe, Darrell Esteppe Jr. (Carlie), and Brianna Judy (Evan); and his great-grandchildren: Nevaeh Palverento, Jason Baull, and Kendall White.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM, at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a Parsell Family Funeral Home, 609 E. King Street, Seaford, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Committal with military honors will follow at 1:00 PM, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required by all persons attending or participating in any aspect of the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Bill's memory to the American Cancer Society, 625 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901.
