My heart is so broken to know that you are gone. That I’ll never get to hug you or say I love you one last time. I remember family dinners with you sitting on the back porch smoking your cigarettes and me sitting on your lap. Remember sleeping on pallets next to your side of the bed. I remember your humor and I think I got my sense of humor from you. I remember begging to ride with you on your motorcycle around the neighborhood and you would take me. I remember you touching my shoulder when you would walk by or messing up my hair. I remember blasting the spice girls in your tractor trailer. Every memory I have with you all I felt is joy. I felt so much happiness with you being there by my side. I remember growing up with you. Bugging you in your computer room while you were playing Facebook games. I’m so sad that you won’t be growing up with me anymore. I will never forget your chuckles, your warm hugs, and your contagious smile. Just know you were a piece of me, and while you may be gone I know you will still always be by my side. Like you always were. I know you will be watching me from above watching over my life and all the big things I know you will be there. And I will be looking for you every step of my life. Whatever signals you send my way from heaven I will know that you are sending them. Along with your best buddies who are keeping you company. I think of you, uncle Ron, and aunt Cheryl up there together just keeping each other company. I love you pop pop you were an amazing grandfather. I am so heartbroken to have been so far away in your final moments. You were my goofball Poppop Chris who I loved since the moment you came into my life at such a young age. The man that no matter what I could turn to at anytime. You have been through such extreme things in your life yet you always chuckled and put on that goofy smile of yours. I will miss the petty smacks of your cane when I would mess with you. I will miss the random texts from you calling me “dum dum”. I will always remember you as my goofy Poppop who waved me goodbye on the porch extra long the last time you saw me. I will always remember your voice and the times I would steal your big tee shirts as my “night gowns”. You will always be with me in all of my future steps that comes my way. I want to thank you for giving me all of your memories during childhood and adulthood. My son Blu loved you and he may not remember you but I will make sure he does as he grows. I will miss having our goofy chats, slaps, crap talking sessions, and time spent together.
