Like everyone, shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Dave's passing. He was a great guy and had a brilliant sense of humor, we had a lot of laughs together.

I can’t remember when I met Dave. I would have to say it was 2003 when he came to work for me at Walgreens in south Saint Pete. Anyone who knows Dave understands that his sense of humor was an acquired taste but god he sure did make work a lot of fun. Instantly I could tell Dave was a person of high character with a hard work ethic. We instantly hit it off and worked well together. What began as a great working relationship turned into a great friendship. One hurricane season Dave and his family had me Mindy and the boys stay at their house rather than go to a shelter because we had to leave our apartment. When I moved back to Iowa I needed an extra driver for the truck and Dave was there to help. For the first couple winters Dave’s mom would make hats and gloves to send to the boys. We stayed in touch on a regular basis over the years. I knew when I was struggling I could call Dave and have a laugh. I called him a couple weeks ago and we talked for about 45 minutes, sure am glad I made the call. I would tell Dave’s mom she raised an exceptional man, he will be missed by so many. I wish I could be there today but your family is in my thought and prayers.
R.I.P. My Friend..
When i was working at Walgreens in 2008, Dave came along and made my shifts so fun! He was such a funny person and made the day go by fast. Last time i saw him was with his doggie. He will be missed, My condolences to his mother, wife and family and especially his doggie that i'm sure will miss him :( May God give all of you the peace and comfort during this difficult time.
Dave was an awesome person, we shared a lot of fun times working together and driving to community events. I am so sorry Maidelis, if there is anything I can do, please call. Again, he was a good guy and I am so sorry!
I was lucky enough to have met this great man 5 years ago, and worked with for 3 years. I walked into Walgreens knowing nothing about retail Dave took me in under his wing and taught me so much about the business. Everyday he took time to sit down with me and teach me something new and as time went on he became not only a boss but also a friend. He was someone I looked up to and respected. Dave was a great person with a larger then life personality. His laugh alone could light up a room and it always made me laugh everyday I heard it. Dave was the type of person who would do anything for his friends and family. I wouldn’t have been able to achieve what I have with the company without Dave. I will be forever thankful for everything I learned from Dave and I will miss him so much. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family.
Dave was one of the best managers I have ever had. He was laid back and like to joke around. He was very understanding about my illness. Dave would always say to me that your health was more important then anything else and not to worry about work we got you covered get some rest and get better I know that we we're co-worker friends but I truly believe if we became friends outside of work he would have been the type of friend that would be there for you when you needed him. He also was a dedicated son he was always concerned about his mom. I never met his wife but he always talk highly of her. He will be miss my wife and I will be praying for your family GOD BLESS James and Deborah Richardson
