Ralph Kenneth Graves Jr.'s Obituary

Ralph Kenneth Graves Jr., age 61 of Seaford, DE, passed away on November 17, 2019 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE from complications related to two strokes.
He was born on November 1, 1958 in Milford, DE, the son of Eula Mae (Bunting) and the late Ralph Kenneth Graves.
Ralph graduated from Sussex Central High School in 1976 and from the University of Delaware with a degree in Accounting in 1981. He worked for many years as an accountant at Allen Petroleum, later Pep Up. Inc, and then then as an entrepreneur in online retail until his death. For many years Ralph was an active member of Mt. Olivet UMC and Gethsemane UMC, serving on finance and mission committees, as well as church council. He also served as Treasurer for Mt. Olivet and the Seaford Mission. Ralph was heavily involved in the church and also involved for many years with the Appalachia Service Project, the Delmarva Emmaus & Chrysalis Community, and the Cherokee Service Project, which he helped organize in its early years.
Above all, Ralph was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ralph will be remembered for taking opportunities to help those around him and for the joy he found in serving others.
In addition to his mother, Ralph is survived by his daughters: Kay Dibuo, Beth Watkins, and Kimberly Madison; his grandchildren; and his brother, Bruce Graves and family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 5:00 PM at Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a Parsell Family Funeral Home, 609 E. King Street, Seaford, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 4:00 PM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Ralph K. Graves Jr. to St. Vincent DePaul Society OLOL, PO Box 719, Seaford, DE 19973, or to Delmarva Christian School, 21777 Sussex Pines Road, Georgetown, DE 19947.
